Today we're going to replace the blade on a Honda HRX426 Lawnmower. Place the throttle lever in “STOP” position (if a rotostop drive model) Tip the mower so that the carburettor faces upwards. If facing down, this will make it difficult to start the mower. Unscrew the bolts from the blade using a 14mm socket spanner, then remove the washers, blade and spacer. Get your new blade and make sure that it is balanced. To balance the blade, place a screwdriver through the middle hole in the blade. If either side of the blade dips slightly below the horizontal, file that side. Before installing the blade, you can clean the dirt and grass from the undercarriage. Then fit the spacer along with the blade and washers then secure with the bolts. When tightening, to stop the blade rotating you can use a wood block. Make sure that the blade is secure, otherwise if too tight or too slack, they may break or unscrew when the mower is in operation. That's how you replace the blade on a Honda HRX426 Lawn mower.
