In this video, we show you how to change the Carburettor on a Stihl FS56 & 56R Brushcutter.

Today we are going to change the Carburettor on a Stihl FS 56 Brushcutter. Use a 14mm Torx Spanner to remove the screw on the air filter cover. Remove the air filter. Unscrew the two nuts located inside the filter housing with an 8mm hex socket spanner. Detach the hose connected to the back of the filter housing, this will allow access to the carburettor. You can also remove the recoil starter for easier access. Disconnect the throttle cable and two fuel hose to allow removal of the carburettor. Replace the Carburettor, Please note, It is good practice to replace the fuel filter and expired fuel when changing the carburettor. Re attach the 2 fuel hoses and throttle cable. Put the filter housing back into place and secure the two nuts with an 8mm hex socket spanner. Place the air filter back onto the filter housing with the arrow pointing upwards. Use a 14mm Torx Spanner to screw the air filter cover back in place. Please always consult your handbook to adjust the carburettor to the manufacturer's specifications.
