Today we're going to change the Spark Plug on a Briggs and Stratton 9T502 Engine in a M40-450C McCulloch Lawn Mower. Changing the spark plug is highly recommended when servicing an engine, as spark plugs can get extremely hot. This will also depend how often you use your lawnmower. Firstly remove the shield off of the spark plug. You will now be able to see the spark plug. Using a 21mm socket spanner unscrew the spark plug. Top Tips: 1. The spark plug should be biscuit coloured. 2. Make sure the tip of the spark plug hasn't closed and this needs to be the manufacture spec. 3. Make sure the squash ring is on top of the spark plug, as this tightens the seal. Screw in the new spark plug by hand as directed. Then secure the spark plug using the socket spanner, but don't over tighten. Lastly, place the shield over the spark plug. That's how you change the Spark Plug on a Briggs and Stratton 9T502 Engine in a M40-450C McCulloch Lawn Mower.
