The Stihl AutoCut 25-2 Mowing Head is designed to be used with Stihl petrol-powered trimmers and brushcutters, as well as the FSA90 cordless model. This versatile cutting head is ideal for smaller tasks such as mowing and thinning. Its distinctive features ensure exceptional performance and consistent results.
The AutoCut mowing head includes a line storage system that dispenses the line when the machine is in use. This happens by tapping the top of the mowing head on the ground, which triggers the release of the line holding mechanism. The centrifugal force then causes the line to be fed out.
To open the mowing head, press sideways on the indentation cut-outs in the top casing. Remove the base from the mowing head by firstly pressing one side inward until the catch disengages and then repeat again on the other side. The cover will then be able to be removed from the mowing head.
Locate the plastic hook on the spool by slightly twisting it, then remove it from the top casing.
Take two lines, ensuring that each line is no longer than the maximum length of 7m or 10m. Insert one end of a line into one of the eyes of the spool and wind it according to the indicated direction of winding. Ensure that the line is wound on evenly and also make sure it's tight. Insert the other end of the line into one of the openings on the spool.
Fill the second chamber by repeating step 3, inserting the end of the second line in the opposite side of the spool.
Insert the spool into the top casing and remove the ends of the lines from the openings in the spool. Place them in the groove provided in the mowing head.
Clip the base into the mowing head to close it.
For the final step, shorten the ends of the line so that approximately 10cm protrude from the opening on each side.
