Putting the Spark Back into Villiers in 1981 || Villiers
As our recent blog post about Wyn's visit to the Villiers Warehouse in the 1960's has been such a hit we've been through our archives.
Wyn has been through our old tea chests and found an article from the 'British Business' Booklet in 1981. The article focuses on the re-build of Villiers after they went into liquidation in 1975. A hopeful story, as 'nobody makes a better engine for the purpose than Villiers'
Villiers was and still is today a highlight of the UK's engineering industry. Engines built to last with enthusiasts around the country constantly looking for ways to refurbish their old engines!
We are slowly (there's a lot of it!) moving through our archive of information, and interesting stories from the past 50 years. We hope you are enjoying these posts if you want to see anything or you're interested to know more about the history of the business just drop us a message. Our Facebook page is the place to keep up to date with all the latest posts and offers from L&S so make sure you stay tuned!
