Billy Goat Eats Anything || 1966
In 1966 a new vacuum was introduced into the UK market. An exciting new innovation from a new American company called Billy Goat. A name you may or may not have heard of. This new innovation was set to be an industry game changer, a vacuum like never before. This new product promised to cut cleaning and labour time, clean big areas fast, get to hard to reach places, pulverise leaves, gulp water down and more! This new product was exciting, as you can see from the 6 page advertisement below.
Billy Goat began in 1967 under Clipper manufacturing, they then became an independent company in 1969. They remained independent until 2015 when they were aquired by Briggs & Stratton Corp. They still continue to create innovative products today, with vacuums, lawnmowers and more. As you can probably see from the advert Billy Goat mission is to make their products exciting, thrilling and to 'take the chore out of chores.' They always strive to be innovative starting with their products all the way through to the advertisements.
