FORS Compliant Equipment
The Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS) is a voluntary accreditation scheme for fleet operators which aims to raise the level of quality within fleet operations, and to demonstrate which operators are achieving exemplary levels of best practice in safety, efficiency, and environmental protection.
There are certain requirements that must be met in order to gain accreditation which is awarded at three levels, Bronze, Silver and Gold. To achieve Bronze or Silver there is mandatory equipment for the protection of vulnerable road users.
Vulnerable road user (VRU) – applies to cyclists, pedestrians, motorbike / scooter riders, horse riders, pedal taxi drivers and car drivers.
