I have inherited an old 225bv blower. It' won't run although there's a spark and the plug is dry even after attempting to start it. It's obviously fuel starvation but I noticed that there's no priming bulb. Is this normal as everything else I have does have one. I'm wondering how it'll pull fuel through for the initial fire up?
There could be a build up within the carb that could be causing this as they didn't start putting primer bulbs on machines until the last 10 years or so. I have been recommended for you to try blasting the carb with some carb cleaner and see if that helps at all. This is one that we do:
